In late March of 2026, I have the privilege of attending the Saving Civic Education 250 Conference along with a few other students from my school. Learning about how people can establish a baseline level of dignity and respect underneath layers of disagreement was thought provoking, especially considering how polarized any form of political discourse feels in almost any environment. It was here that I was made aware of the important work Ollie and Dylan had been taking on since 2023, venturing into social studies and civic classrooms at different districts. I followed up with Dylan and Ollie in May, and am excited to be part of this wonderful organization! I’m a senior at Pleasantville High School and have a fervent passion for running, listening to music and podcasts, and conversing with my friends.
