Meeting with BOCES District Superintendents

On Tuesday, September 16th, NYSEC had the opportunity to present its Civic Education Toolkit at the monthly BOCES District Superintendents’ Meeting. In attendance were all thirty-seven BOCES District Superintendents, Assistant Commissioners David Frank and Dr. Santosha Oliver, and Commissioner Dr. Betty Rosa. The presentation was a meaningful step in expanding NYSEC’s reach across New York State and strengthening our mission to promote civic engagement and media literacy in schools. We’re deeply grateful to the schools that have reached out to collaborate and to the New York State Education Department for their continued partnership and support in advancing civic education statewide.
